Cameroon are the new champions of the African Cup of Nations, thanks to goals from two super-subs in the second half.

AFCON 2017 finalists Cameroon broke a 55-year-old record held by Ethiopia in the finals of the African Cup of Nations. The Indomitable Lions were a goal down by the 22nd minute when Eyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny opened the scoring for the North African nation.

But Nicolas N'Koulou pulled one back for Cameroon 14 minutes into the second half. The goal by Cameroon now makes them the first side to score a goal against Egypt in an AFCON final since Ethiopia in 1962. They have played in five finals since then.

Goal's from N'Koulou and Aboubakar, who came on as supersubs in the 31st and 46th minutes respectively, were all that the central African country needed to dismiss giants Egypt at the finals. This is the fifth AFCON title for Hugo Broos' men.
