The Catalan boss had kind words for his newest gem, but some were surprised when he started comparing the Brazilian striker.

Pep Guardiola's press conferences are usually labelled as "strange", to say the least. But the one he held after Manchester City's win against West Ham may be the weirdest of them all.

The Spanish boss was asked about Gabriel Jesus' performance, who established a franchise record as the only player to score and assist in his first EPL start. While Guardiola's later remarks fell into the stereotypical answers a coach gives when referring to a new player, his first statement may sound a bit strange to some.

Manchester City was the only club among the EPL's top six teams to win in Matchday 23, closing the gap on Tottenham, who currently holds the second spot of the competition. Their next match will be held on Sunday, when the Citizens host Swansea City.
