Who's playing: West Ham United have a difficult task against Manchester City in the Premier League. The Hammers have been the center of attracting in the recent past thanks to the Dimitri Payet transfer saga. And now that the French international has sealed his desired move to Marseille, he leaves a huge gap at the English clubs, something that Man City could take advantage of. Slaven Billic's men played Man City in the FA Cup on Jan 6 and were sent packing after soaking in five goals without a single response. But since that humiliating defeat, they have beated Crystal Palace and most recently Middlesbrough. Team news

West Ham United

Andre Ayew is set to miss this clash as he is still in Gabon representing his country at the African Cup of Nations. Cheikhou Kouyate has returned from the competition but it may be too early for him to start. New signing Jose Fonte could make his debut here but Robert Snodgrass is not expected to start his first game fot the Hammers since he is nursing an injury.

Man City

Sergio Aguero is expected to start, but Gabriel Jesus and Vincent Kompany could be rested. Fernandinho returns from injury and is available for selection.

Match forecast

Slaven Billic's men could provide a tough opposition for the Sky Blues. The hosts have won five of their last seven league games despite the Payet transfer saga that had the potential to disorganize the dressing room. They now face a City side that has won only one of their last league games. And having being humiliated 5-0 in the FA Cup, it is highly unlikely that the London-based club will tolerate such a whipping again, in the same month, and to the same opponent.
