Match preview
Liverpool come into this match with only one win in January, which was against a League 2 side Plymouth Argyle. The absence of Sadio Mane, who is representing Senegal at the African Cup of Nations, has proven to be a huge blow for Klopp's men but they now need to get over and bounce back to winning ways. Liverpool have played six games since Mane went to AFCON, won only one, drawn twice and lost thrice.

The German tactician will face a selection dilemma for this match now that they face Chelsea in the Premier League on Tuesday. Many first-team players could be rest while Wolves are expected to field a strong side. Sitting at the 18th spot on the Championship table, the visitors are still capable of inflicting more pain on Kopp's men and destroying their hopes of making it to the last 16. They could get a win here if they play defensively and pounce on the hosts with quick counter attacks, just like Southampton and Swansea did against the Merseyside outfit.
Paul Lambert will be without first-choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme due to suspension. On other hand, Klopp could start Daniel Sturridge once again in attack alongside Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi. Klopp recently revealed that the club will bounce back from the recent poor results and that is expected as soon as they step onto the pitch to face Wolves.
