Here are some key stats and facts you need to know before Sunday's clash between Man Utd and Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Manchester United play Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday in what is expected to be a thriller of a match based on the recent form of the two fierce rivals. Following Saturday's Premier League results, these two sides are in dire need of a win here in order to keep up with the title race. All the top three teams - Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal won their respetive fixtures on Saturday and now it is up to Man Utd and Liverpool to outsmart each other.

The excitement is already building up on social media

But of course, there will be only one winner at the end of 90 minutes, or at least a draw. A win for Man Utd will see them remain at the sixth spot for the umpeeth time even if Man City lose their fixture against Everton. But the red devils can rise to fifth if they win by nine goals and Man City lose by a similar margin, which sounds impossible.

Liverpool, on the other hand, need a win to rise up to the second spot on the log, but will be without their key forward Sadio Mane, who has nine goals and four assists in 19 league appearances for the reds this season. All said and done, here's a video that summarizes everything you need to know about this derby.
