Ronaldinho seems to have so much to offer to the world of football despite being 36 years old.

The agent of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has revealed that the superstar is ready to resume professional duty in 2017. The former Barcelona and AC Milan man is however without the club.

According to his brother Roberto de Assis, who also doubles up as his agent, the 36-year-old is prepared to play for a yet-to-be-identified club in South America. The agent claims that Gaucho is interested in playing for a club that is participating in this year's Copa Libertadores. Although Coritiba have expressed interest in signing him, the club will not participate in this year's edition of the competition, hence reducing their chances of landing his signature.

Uruguayan side Nacional stand a high chance of signing the respected footballer. Speaking about a possible move to the South American club, his agent told Ovacion Digital:

"The project is to play in 2017.

"After a quiet year in which we had the opportunity to fly around the world, travel, see other countries we did not know, to be with people, to feel their affection, that's the idea.

"The 2017 project is to play again and see how things happen. We think he will play in a team that is in the Libertadores.

"I spoke to some intermediaries [about Nacional], but things are still very quiet. When something official arrives, the club will be able to speak."

Last month, there were reports on social media that he had offered to play for Chapecoense, the Brazilian side that lost 71 people, who included players, journalists and the team's staff, to a ghastly plane crash in Colombia. But it appears that they were just mere rumours.
