Ahead of the 2017 AFCON tournament, LiveSoccerTV.com provides you with all the info about Group B. Who are the favorites? Who are the minnows? And where can you watch them all in action?

Earlier, we took a look at Group A at this winter's 2017 AFCON tournament. Next up is Group B. In this quartet, we have Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, and Zimbabwe. Three of these teams have made more than ten appearances, whilst one is still a relative new face on the AFCON stage.

Let's have a look at the four sides who will be vying for a spot in the knock-out rounds.

Algeria: Will Riyad Mahrez help inspire the Desert Foxes to glory?

The last time Algeria won this tournament was back in 1990. That was well before several of the players who were called up to the national squad were even born, and those that were were mostly still in the early years of primary school. The Desert Foxes, who are currently ranked 38th in the world as per FIFA, cruised through qualifiers without much fuss.

In fact, Algeria, who are presently led by Belgian tactician Georges Leekens, easily topped their group, winning five, drawing one, and scored a whopping 25 goals whilst conceding just five. Only Ethiopia were able to nick any points off the Desert Foxes, and even so, that was during a 3-3 draw, which marked the only time Algeria conceded more than one goal during qualifiers.

This will be their 17th AFCON appearance, which puts them towards the upper end of the spectrum in terms of tournament experience. However, save for their triumph 26 years ago, Algeria have not fared as well as they would have liked, and will be heavily counting on several key players to help them try to navigate their way to the winners' podium.

Riyad Mahrez, who became the first Algerian to win a Premier League medal and is also the current BBC African Footballer of the Year recipient, is arguably among the biggest stars of this squad. However, there are other players to look out for, including his Leicester City colleage Islam Slimani.

Here's Algeria's squad for the upcoming tournament:

Goalkeepers: Rais Ouhab M’bolhi (Antalyaspor, Turkey), Malik Asselah (JS Kabylie, Algeria), Chemseddine Rahmani (MO Bejaia, Algeria)

Defenders: Mokhtar Belkhiter (Club Africain ,Tunisia), Mohamed Rabie Meftah (USM Alger, Algeria), Aissa Mandi (Real Betis, Spain), Hicham Belkaroui (Esperance, Tunisia), Liassine Cadamuro (Servette Geneva, Switzerland), Mohamed Benyahia (USM Alger, Algeria), Ramy Bensebaïni (Stade Rennes, France), Faouzi Ghoulam (Napoli, Italy), Djamel Eddine Mesbah (FC Crotone, Italy)

Midfielders: Adlène Guedioura (Watford, England), Saphir Taïder (Bologna, Italy), Nabil Bentaleb (Schalke 04, Germany), Mehdi Abeid (Dijon, France), Yassin Brahimi (FC Porto, Portugal), Rachid Ghezzal (Olympique Lyon, France)

Forwards: Islam Slimani (Leicester City, England), Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City, England), Hilal Soudani El Arabi (Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Baghdad Bounedjah (Al Sadd, Qatar), Sofiane Hanni (Anderlecht, Belgium)

Tunisia: Experienced, but a long history of frustration at AFCON tournaments

Nicknamed Les Aigles de Carthage (The Carthage Eagles), Tunisia are currently ranked 35th in the world as per FIFA. This will also be their 18th appearance at an AFCON competition. Of the teams participating, only five can either equal or exceed that total. However, to date, Tunisia have won just one AFCON title. That was back in 2004, when they hosted the competition, and they finished as a runners-up in 1965 and 1996.

Although they finished top of Group A to secure their spot, it was far from easy for the team, who presently have Polish manager Henryk Kasperczak on the bench. After cruising to an easy win over Djibouti, they stumbled against Liberia and Togo before finally getting back on track, and it goes without saying they will have to do much better if they want to have a shot at getting out of their quartet this time around.

Here's Tunisia's squad for the upcoming AFCON tournament:

Goalkeepers: Aymen Mathlouthi (Etoile du Sahel, Tunisia), Rami Jridi (CS Sfaxien, Tunisia), Moez Ben Cherifia (Esperance, Tunisia)

Defenders: Aymen Abdennour (Valencia, Spain), Ali Maaloul (Al Ahly, Egypt), Chamseddine Dhaouadi (Esperance), Hamdi Nagguez (Etoile du Sahel), Hamza Mathlouthi (CS Sfaxien), Mohamed Ali Yacoubi (Rizespor, Turkey), Siyam Ben Youssef (Caen, France), Slimane Kchok (CA Bizertin), Zied Boughattas (Etoile du Sahel)

Midfielders: Ahmed Khalil (Club Africain), Ferjani Sassi (Esperance), Larry Azouni (Nîmes, France), Mohamed Amine Ben Amor (Etoile), Naim Sliti (Lille, France), Hamza Lahmar (Etoile), Wahbi Khazri (Sunderland, England), Youssef Msakni (Lekhwiya, Qatar)

Forwards: Ahmed Akaïchi (Ittihad, Saudi Arabia), Saber Khelifa (Club Africain), Taha Yassine Khenissi (Esperance)

Senegal: Strolled through qualifying...but can they replicate this at AFCON?

Senegal are especially notable as they are just one of three African sides to have made it to a quarter-finals of a World Cup (the other two being Cameroon and Ghana). With regards to the upcoming AFCON competition, made mincemeat of their opponents through qualifying. In fact, they earned a perfect 18 points out of 18 to top their quartet, whilst scoring 13 and conceding just twice. This will be their 14th appearance, but despite making 13 prior appearances, Les Lions de la Teranga (The Lions of Teranga) have never won an AFCON title

In fact, the closest they have come is a runners-up spot in 2002, when they were beaten by Cameroon. Premier League fans, of course, will be well aware of some of the names in Aliou Cissé's squad; some may be even aware of Cissé himself as he played for two Premier League outfits (Birmingham City and Portsmouth) as a defensive midfielder in the early 2000's. The team are currently ranked 33rd, which puts them highest out of the sides featuring at AFCON 2017.

Liverpool supporters will have to make do without Saido Mane, whilst their cross-town rivals Everton will be missing Idrissa Gana Gueye. West Ham's Cheikhou Kouyaté is another who is away on international duty, whilst Serie A followers may be familiar with Lazio's young striker Keita Baldé and Napoli's defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been reportedly on Antonio Conte's radar at Chelsea.

Here's Senegal's squad for the 2017 AFCON tournament:

Goalkeepers: Khadim N'Diaye (Horoya AC, Guinea), Abdoulaye Diallo (Çaykur Rizespor, Turkey), Pape Seydou N'Diaye (ASC Niarry Tally)

Defenders: Lamine Gassama (Alanyaspor, Turkey), Cheikh M'Bengue (Saint-Etienne, France), Kara Mbodj (Anderlecht, Belgium), Zargo Toure (Lorient, France), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli, Italy), Saliou Ciss (Valenciennes, France)

Midfielders: Idrissa Gana Gueye (Everton, England), Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham, England), Cheikh N'Doye (Angers, France), Papakouli Diop (Espanyol, Spain), Henri Saivet (Saint Etienne, France), Papa Alioune Ndiaye (Osmanlıspor, Turkey), Mohamed Diame (Newcastle, England)

Forwards: Sadio Mane (Liverpool England), Keita Balde Diao (Lazio, Italy), Moussa Konate (FC Sion, Switzerland), Famara Diedhiou (Angers, France), Mame Biram Diouf (Stoke, England), Ismaila Sarr (Metz, France), Moussa Sow (Fenerbahce, Turkey)

Zimbabwe: The minnows hope to make a splash

Of the four sides, Zimbabwe by far are the new boys on the block. However, they are nicknamed the Warriors by their supporters. And they did get here by winning their group. Zimbabwe have never qualified for a World Cup tournament. Their first ever AFCON qualification was not until 2004, when they crashed out in the group stage.

In fact, Zimbabwe have made just two prior appearances, which, save for Guinea-Bissau makes them the least experienced in this competition. Currently coached by Callisto Pasuwa, the Warriors are ranked 102nd in the world. Still, as we all know, football is indeed unpredictable. Can they shock the rest of Africa in a few days' time?

Here's Zimbabwe's squad for the tournament:

Goalkeepers: Donovan Bernard (How Mine), Tatenda Mkuruva (Dynamos), Takabva Mawaya (Hwange)

Defenders: Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Praha), Bruce Kangwa (Azam FC), Elisha Muroiwa (Dynamos), Hardlife Zvirekwi (Caps United), Oscar Machapa (AS Vita Club), Onismor Bhasera (Supersport United), Lawrence Mhlanga (Chicken Inn), Teenage Hadebe (Chicken Inn)

Midfielders: Danny Phiri (Golden Arrows), Willard Katsande (Kaizer Chiefs), Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns), Kudakwashe Mahachi (Golden Arrows), Marvelous Nakamba (Vitesse Arnhem)

Forwards: Cuthbert Malajila (Bidvest Wits), Evans Rusike (Maritzburg United), Tinotenda Kaderwere (Djuargardens), Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende), Nyasha Mushekwi (Dalian Yifang), Mathew Rusike (SC Sfaxien), Tendai Ndoro (Orlando Pirates)
