The Colombian midfielder has seemingly fallen out of favor with Zinedine Zidane, but the club seems unwilling to let the South American ace go.

Despite enjoying quite a successful debut season with Real Madrid, James Rodriguez's future with Los Blancos seems to be getting closer to end as minutes go by.

The Colombian ace is known to be annoyed by his current situation at Real Madrid, since he hasn't been able to earn a regular starting spot in Zinedine Zidane's lineup.

Moments after winning the Club World Cup last Sunday, Rodriguez was reluctant to take a stand about his future with the team, hinting that a possible transfer away from the Spanish capital was on the works. As of now, the club has made it clear that James will end the 2016-2017 season with Zidane's crew, and any potential suitors will be encouraged to pay the hefty €500M buyout clause in his contract.

The relationship between Zidane and Rodriguez has gone from hot to cold due to the French tactician's lack of trust in the midfielder, who has played a minor role in the team's accomplishments in 2016.

Regardless of what Real Madrid may think, Rodriguez arrived into Colombia earlier today, where newspaper El Tiempo revealed the player had begun legal procedures to obtain the British visa. Nevertheless, this formality would only be intended to facilitate his entry to the U.K. as a tourist, as he plans to spend the holidays with his brother-in-law and Arsenal goalkeeper, David Ospina.

Chelsea, Inter Milan and PSG have shown interest in signing the South American star, but only time will tell if Zizou & Florentino Pérez are ready to let him go.
