Lionel Messi was on fire for Barcelona against Espanyol in the Catalan derby played at the Nou Camp on Sunday.

Lionel Messi is one of the best dribblers in the world, if not the best. The Argentina international proved exactly that on Sunday in the Catalan derby when he dribbled past six defenders to set up Luis Suarez for Barca’s third goal.

The buildup to the third goal was one of the most beautiful moments in La Liga this season Barcelona’s midfield wizard Andres Iniesta picked up the ball in Espanyol’s half, dribbled past three defenders before getting overpowered.

The Spaniard was then brought down near the edge of the box but the referee allowed play to continue as Lionel Messi was already in possession of the ball. And the 29-year-old wasted no time – he dribbled past four defenders with lightning speed, dodging their legs like cones in a training session, before attempting a shot on target with his weaker foot.  But the rebound found Luis Suarez, who blasted it into the net. Leo then rewarded himself with a goal a few minutes to the final whistle to give Barcelona a 4-1 victory over Espanyol.
