On Sunday, Club America and Atletico Nacional locked horns for the third-spot playoff in the FIFA Club World Cup. Both sides lost to finalists Real Madrid and Kashima Antlers, and thus battled it out for a respectable finish.
Things didn't end well for the Mexican giants, as they lost that game. They match required penalties after ending 2-2, with the Colombian outfit coming out victorious 3-4 from the spot-kicks.
Adding insult to injury, Club America's Samudio scored an awful own-goal which aided their defeat. The Paraguayan defender saw an attempt to clear the ball go straight into his team's own net. To make things worse, the shot went straight between his goalkeeper's legs.
