Here's a look at the matches Man Utd star Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to miss due to injury.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has opened up about Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s injury. The fan-favorite playmaker became the first Armenian to score a goal in the Premier League when Man Utd played Spurs at Old Trafford on Sunday. His solitary goal earned the Red Devils a 1-0 win over their rivals, ending the hosts’ run of four consecutive draws at home in the league.

But the ex-BVB man sustained an ankle injury after colliding with Danny Rose. He was then escorted off the field on a stretcher, sparking fears of a terrible injury just when he was on the verge of rediscovering his form.

Speaking after the match, the Portuguese manager told journalists that the 27-year-old was set to miss two matches. He also mentioned that the injury did not seem severe. He said:

''It looks like it is nothing dangerous or needing surgery so hopefully we will have him back on Boxing Day.

''It depends always of the player - anatomy, physiology, mentality - but hopefully it is not a big thing.''

If Mourinho’s projection is true, then Mkhitaryan will miss the trip to Crystal Palace on December 14, 2016. He will also miss the trip to West Bromwich Albion on December 17, 2016.

The win over the White Hart Lane outfit renewed Man Utd’s hopes of entering the top four. They now sit at the sixth position with 24 points, 13 behind league leaders Chelsea.
