The French midfielder, who became the most expensive player in the world when he signed with Manchester United, is being implicated in a tax evasion scandal.

The tax evasion scandal surrounding some of Europe's most talented footballers has finally touched the most expensive player in the world: Paul Pogba.

An ongoing investigation by Football Leaks suggests that the French midfielder benefitted from a change in his company's installation, considering that his former agent moved it from Luxembourg to the offshore haven Jersey.

The name of his current agent, Mino Raiola, has also emerged in this investigation. The Italian agent supposedly earned up to €37 million from Juventus since the footballer joined La Vecchia Signora back in 2012. Added to that, Raiola's comission for the deal that returned Pogba to Old Trafford was quite substancial.

"This information is made up, inaccurate or in any case deformed," were Raiola's comments about the investigation.

Pogba has found it hard to impress Manchester United fans during his comeback season. So far, he's played 20 games for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring four goals and handing out two assists. The player is set to play one more match this Sunday, as Mourinho's men host Tottenham Hotspur.
