Alan Ruschel, one of the few players to be rescued from the fatal crash, has been ruled out of danger by doctors since yesterday, when he left the ICU.

In a video shared by the player's sister via Instagram, Ruschel walked from the door to a couch and sent a message to fans around the world.

"To all the people in Brazil and around the world, this is your pal Alan Ruschel, just to let you know that my recovery is going great, and I'll be returning home soon so I can resume treatment there. I just wanted to thank all of you for your support and your kind gestures," Ruschel said.

Ruschel underwent a delicate spinal cord surgery following his rescue. The player's recovery is amazing, since doctors believed he would end up suffering quadraplegia.

In another Instagram post, his sister asked fans to pray for Helio Neto and Jackson Follman, the two remaining survivors. Ruschel's sibling revealed that Follman is still in a very delicate condition after having his right leg amputated.
