The Chilean striker recovered just in time from a thigh injury to lead La Roja to a comeback win against Uruguay.

Chilean striker Alexis Sánchez seemed to be headed to miss November's World Cup Qualifiers due to an untimely injury, but he managed to earn back his fitness to score a brace and cement his place in La Roja's goal scoring list.

Chile's No. 7 led his team's come-from-behind win with two goals in the second half, and became La Roja's second all-time top scorer with 36 goals, surpassing legendary Iván Zamorano's tally of 34. Marcelo Salas' record of 37 goals may be in jeopardy, as Sánchez has shown incredible form throughout the season.

Sánchez has scored six goals against Uruguay, but his second one of the evening was absolutely stunning thanks to his ball-handling skills.
