Messi back on track with goal & assist in less than 13 minutes vs Colombia

The Argentinean ace scored the opening goal with a stunning free kick, and added one assist to his tally with a beautiful cross.

When things get tough, Lionel Messi usually delivers.

Even if his haters don't like it, he led Argentina to an early first-half lead by scoring the game's first goal and assisting Lucas Pratto to score the second one.

His 57th goal with La Albiceleste gave fans something to talk about, as he hit the bar hard with a left-footed shot before the ball found the back of David Ospina's net.

Following Messi's strike, Lucas Pratto made the most out of the chance of starting in Gonzalo Higuain's place by putting to good use a cross by "La Pulga".

In eleven games with La Albiceleste this year, Messi has been involved in 13 goals. He's scored eight times, and adding up 5 assists. And some Argentineans say he "disappears" during relevant games...
