Gareth Bale sets personal career record in Wales’ one-all draw with Serbia

Gareth Bale’s has proven to be an important player for Chris Coleman’s side this year.

Welsh winger Gareth Bale set a personal record in his country’s one-all draw against Serbia on Saturday. But despite scoring the opening goal for the hosts at the Cardiff City Stadium, Aleksandar Mitrovic pulled one back late into the second half to ensure the two sides shared one point each in the crucial tie. 

Wales are still stuck at the third position in Group D of their World Cup qualifier with six points, four off leaders the Republic of Ireland, while Serbia come second with eight points. The Dragons must now must win their tie against the Green Armyin Dublin on March 24 next year to increase their chances of qualification for the global football tournament. 

Back to Gareth Bale, the Real Madrid star has now made 50 appearances for his country in competitive international matches. Here is the complete breakdown of his appearances in those games:
