 Ilkay Gundogan knows Bayern Munich very well. Although he never wore their famous jersey, having played for Borussia Dortmund, he knows the Bundesliga champions very well.

The midfielder eventually joined Man City over the summer, and has finally broken into the starting eleven. When the issue of whether the Citizens or the Bavarian is the bigger club, Gundogan gave an expected answer.

"When I come to the training centre by car, it's already very impressive. Not even Bayern can compare with this, it's in a different league.”

Gundogan sat down for an interview with Kicker in which he talked about being at the Etihad. He also revealed that working under Pep Guardiola means the pressure on the players is even bigger.

The 26-year-old endured a rough start to life in the Premier League. Injury delayed his debut, but he is now a regular in the starting eleven since his September debut, even scoring twice in the memorable 3-1 Champions League win over Barca.
