Man Utd captain Wayne Rooney has finally scored a goal for the Red Devils, and the goal itself is somewhat special.

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney got his name in the books of history on Thursday, but on a low note. The England captain was on target in the dying minutes of the Europa League clash between Fenerbahce and Man Utd in Turkey.

The visitors went down 2-1 against the Yellow Canaries, a result that saw them drop to third on their table. They now face Feyenoord at home on November 24th before visiting Zorya for their final group game on Dec. 8, 2016.

Rooney has now scored 38 European goals for Man Utd, which equals Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s record. The England captain also needs just two goals to equal Bobby Charlton’s record ofals scored for Man Utd in all competitions.
