The 2013 runners up first cruised to a very comfortable 6-0 win over Legia Warsaw before thwarting reigning champions Real Madrid by holding them to a 2-2 draw. They have earned seven points out of a possible nine after picking up a well-deserved 2-1 win over Portuguese outfit Sporting CP. As such, Dortmund, along with Real Madrid, are tied on points and die Schwarzgelben are within touching distance of booking their round of 16 spot should they, as expected, come out on top on Wednesday.
Although Thomas Tuchel's men ended up settling for a frustrating scoreless draw with Schalke over the weekend, Dortmund are by far the favorites here. Their upcoming opponents Sporting CP have a terrible record in Germany, and in fact, have lost a whopping 11 out of their past 12 attempts. They have also won just two out of their six away fixtures and are third in their Champions League quartet.
