Costa, Hazard dedicate goal to Willian

RESPECT: Costa, Hazard dedicate goals to Willian whose mother passed away

October 15, 2016 By Ali M.
Sometimes team-mates become family. We salute the Chelsea duo.

Both Diego Costa and Eden Hazard enjoyed a wonderful game against Leicester City, with both getting on the score sheet – the Spaniard continuing his fine form in front of goal.

However, instead of getting carried away like many do upon finding the back of the net, the Blues duo took to opportunity to honor a team-mate who recently lost a loved one.

Brazilian playmaker Willian sadly witnessed his mother pass away this week after she lost her battle with cancer. Returning to his home country for the funeral, the player was thus given time off – compassionate leave – in order to grieve, missing the clash with the reigning English Premier League winner.

The London giants steamrolled past the Foxes, and Costa and Hazard both dedicated their goals to their heartbroken buddy.

The Spaniard made the letter “W’ after scoring, whilst the Belgian wizard held up two twos, or 22 – Willian’s jersey number. Check out the best tweets.
