Meanwhile, following reports that Argentina’s hitman Sergio Aguero had picked up a calf injury, the lethal forward has come out to dismiss the reports. He has instead declared himself fit for this clash. Speaking to Argentina publication Ole (Via SkySports):
"You always want to play in the national team and try to do the best.
"For now I feel good physically, within five minutes of the second half against Peru I began to feel the tiredness on the calf, [the coach] noticed and took me out.
"But I'm quite well now: you get physical fitness playing, not training. [Coach Edgardo] Bauza has the decision - I'll be available for Tuesday."
If he will be selected to play, then this will be a huge boost for the South American giants, who are already without their star captain Lionel Messi. The hosts will be hoping to secure a win here in order to jump out of the play-offs spot in the group. But considering their inferior record against Paraguay, the visitors are expected to bring in tough opposition. A draw is the most likely result in this crucial tie.
