The legendary shot-stopper admitted he doesn't want to run into Alvaro Morata on the pitch, considering his skills and drive for La Roja.

It may not be his last game against Spain, but there are elements that Gianluigi Buffon can't ignore as he gets ready to face La Roja.

The veteran goalkeeper shared his views on the first World Cup Qualifying match against Julen Lopetegui's crew, and while he admitted that all eyes are set on winning all the points, he can't help but think about Iker Casillas' absence.

"It will be strange not to face Iker. It's a sign that our 'expiration date' is just around the corner. But it's OK, it's the life we chose. Sometimes you get to be a part of the game, others, you'll just watch from the sidelines," Buffon stated.

Both shot-stoppers developed a friendship after playing numerous games against each other for club and country.

The legendary goalie shared his views on the game, and how Italy should face the rejuvenated Spanish side."

"There's still a long way to go before the World Cup, but it's a very important match for us. We have to play it with the same humility as we did back in June, because we've started a new era, just as they're doing," Buffon added.

When it came to talk about Alvaro Morata, Buffon admitted that his team could be better off if he didn't play.

"If he doesn't play, I'll be the happiest man alive," the shot-stopper concluded.
