According to Sport, the Catalan giants will no longer pursue the Gunners starlet.

Given the number of players Barcelona have “stolen” from Arsenal, fans of the English Premier League giants could be forgiven for being worried about the situation of Hector Bellerin.

The Blaugrana are reportedly on the hunt for a new right-back. With Dani Alves having left for Juventus over the summer, Aleix Vidal has failed to impress and thus appears to be near the end of his Camp Nou days.

Here is where the Gunners starlet enters the picture. A Barcelona youth product, the Spaniard has proven his defensive qualities and attacking flare in England, similar to Dani Alves. As a result, rumors claiming that Barca are keen on resigning the 21-year-old comes as little surprise.

However, Sport have delivered positive news for Arsenal and its fans, claiming that Bellerin is no longer the Spanish champions' main target.

Is the Catalan giants’ search for a new right-back over? No, it isn’t. According to Sport, Barca have merely turned their attention to another player.

Luis Enrique’s boys will now look within La Liga for a new signing in the form of Valencia’s Joao Cancelo. Vidal would head in the opposite direction in a player-swap deal.

Cancelo, 22, is young and has many years ahead of him. Whether he will fit the bill at Camp Nou, though, remains unknown.
