Real Madrid has been handed a serious injury blow, after the team's medical staff confirmed that Luka Modric will be out for at least one month due to a problem in his left knee.
The Croatian midfielder felt pain during the UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund, which prompted a battery of tests to be performed on the midfielder.
The team issued a press release to let the world know about Modric's situation.
Modric is the latest Real Madrid player to come down with an injury problem. Casemiro, Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao are also struggling to gain their fitness back. In order to prevent other players to experience such problems, coach Zinedine Zidane also decided that Sergio Ramos will be rested during Sunday's clash against Eibar.
