Raheem Sterling has lived up to his reputation, delivering thrills for both fandoms during the clash between Manchester City and Celtic.
The English international gave Celtic the lead with an own goal after 20 minutes, when he tried to stop a cross from getting to Moussa Dembelé. Eight minutes later, he managed to save his pride by scoring the equalizer after a top-caliber individual display, which saw them dribble past a couple of players before sending the ball into the back of the net.
Sterling became the 12th player in UCL history to score an own goal and a goal in the course of the same match, but he managed to become the first Englishman to do so in the European competition.
Raheem Sterling has now been involved in 11 goals in his last 8 games for @ManCity (5 goals, 5 assists & 1 penalty won) #UCL #celticvcity
