  • Celtic is yet to lose their first home game with Brendan Rodgers at the helm. The Hoops have won eight games, scoring 32 goals and keeping three clean sheets in the process.

Team news

Celtic's coach Brendan Rodgers ruled out Dorus De Vries from this match, giving way for Craig Gordon below the posts. Dedryck Boyata will also be out due to injury, while Patrick Roberts will have to sit this one out as he is ineligible to play against his parent club.

This is how Celtic's official Twitter feed welcomed the opposition.

The English team gets to this game with two confirmed absences and one cast away. Pep Guardiola will once again be without captain Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph, while Yaya Touré will have to watch this game on TV after being left out of the UCL squad by Pep Guardiola.

One of the talking points prior to this match involved Raheem Sterling and Brendan Rodgers. The pair, who worked together at Liverpool a couple of years ago, will re-unite at Celtic Park on Wednesday, and the Citizens' Twitter feed showed the world a token of just how he has developed with them.
