Antonio Conte’s unbeaten run at home in the league ended in a spectacular fashion on Friday.

Jordan Henderson’s 30-yard screamer for Liverpool vs Chelsea in the 36th minute of the game at the Stamford Bridge on Friday ended Antonio Conte’s three-year record. Prior to this match, the Italian was the favorite to take all the three points thanks to the home advantage and his most recent good run with the Blues.

But the former Juventus boss failed to secure at least a point from this match thanks to Liverpool’s second goal which was on a league of its own. Prior to this game, Conte had not lost a home match since 2013 when he lost to Italian outfit Sampdoria in the Serie A when he was in charge of Juventus. The title-winning manager with Juve had gone 30 matches unbeaten at home, but the run came to a screeching halt in the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s men. Liverpool now boast of having beaten Premier League bigwigs such as Arsenal, Leicester City and most recently Chelsea this season.

The game ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors. Liverpool have now climbed to the fourth place on the log with 10 points thanks to the win, while Chelsea are now third with the same number of goal but a superior goal difference.
