What a month it could be for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the English Premier League. Making his debut, the Swedish talisman has featured in all three games and currently has three goals to his name.
One could win him the Carling Goal of the Month for August award. Eight strikes from the first month of the Championship were nominated, one of which was Zlatan’s strike vs. Bournemouth in his England debut.
However, the 34-year-old will face stiff competition from Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho who is also nominated for his stunning free-kick goal versus Arsenal in their opening match. Team-mate Sadio Mane also got a nod for his solo goal in that very same match.
Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is also in contention for a lovely free-kick goal, whilst Jamie Vary is in the running for his goal against Swansea.
