Honduras will be coming into this match having suffered a 6-0 humiliation at the hands of hosts Brazil. For all intents and purposes, however, the result wasn't exactly a surprise, especially considering the gulf between the two sides. Yet, as Jorge Luis Pinto's lads have shown, they are not a side just to give up easily as they beat Algeria, drew Argentina, and managed to edge out South Korea en route to this juncture.
Impressively, despite this being only their fourth Olympics, Honduras have improved immensely. In 2000 and 2008, they failed to clear their group. Four years ago, they made it to the quarter-finals, and now are in contention to join Germany and Brazil on the winners' podium.
Nigeria, of course, will not make things easy. Samson Siasia's side were no match for Germany as they were on the wrong end of a 2-0 score-line, but they will have to be a lot more clinical if they want to at least head home with the bronze. During their tie against Germany, the Nigerians only managed to put two out of their dozen attempts on target.
