Chelsea will announce their latest signing next week.

New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is in top gear in the transfer market less than two weeks to the August 31 deadline. The Italian manager has already brought in five players to the Stamford Bridge in a bid to restore the West London club to greatness.

Chelsea’s 2016/17 signings as of August 19, 2016 include:

  • Juan Familia-Castilla – Central Midfielder – Free Transfer from Ajax
  • Michy Batshuayi – Center forward - £33m from Marseille
  • Charle Brown – Center forward – Free transfer from Ipswich Town
  • N’Golo Kante – Central midfielder- £32m from Leicester City
  • Marcin Bulka – Goalkeeper – Free transder from FCB Escola Varsovia

But according to Dinamo Zagreb manager Zlatko Kranjcar, the club’s goalkeeper Eduardo will sign for Chelsea next week. EPSN claim that Antonio Bevanda of Croatian publication 24 Sata reported that the goalkeeper would join the Stamford Bridge side after Dinamo’s UEFA Champions League return leg tie against Red Bull Salzburg on August 24. Responding to the reports that Eduardo (p was on his way out of the club, Kranjcar said:

Eduardo - Portugal

“I think so. Eduardo received a great honor to go to a big club like Chelsea.

“When he arrived we gained security in our team, and in my time in the club he has defended his goal very well. But the situation is that he is leaving. May he have all the good luck in a big club.”

The 33-year-old goalkeeper won the Euro 2016 with Portugal last month but did not feature in any game for Seleccao in the tournament. He will most likely act as Chelsea’s second-choice shot-stopper as Thibaut Courtois takes the lead. Eduardo’s arrival could also pave way for the departure of Chelsea’s second-choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic who is in dire need of first-team football.
