It seems Antonio Conte is the new Mr. Philosophy in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has heaped praise on new club boss Antonio Conte ahead of their 2016/17 Premier League season-opener against West Ham United at the Stamford Bridge. The Belgian international was speaking during a pre-match press conference ahead of the much-anticipated tie that will mark Conte’s Premier League debut as the Blues manager.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Hazard said:

"It's a new season, a fresh start, a new manager and a couple of new players,

"We have all been working together for a few weeks now and the new manager has a new philosophy and he wants to play a different style.

"That's always good, and now we will see how it goes.

"I like to play against West Ham because it's important for the fans as well, it's always like this when we play against another London team.

"We will see how the first game of the season goes, but I hope we can be much better than last season."

WATCH: Conte reveals Chelsea's title ambitions

The former Lille man had a disappointing 2015/16 season with the Blues but judging from his performance for Belgium at the European Championships in France last month, he has been tipped to regain his previous form in the Premier League this season. In the 2014/15 season, Hazard played a key role in Chelsea’s title triumph. His sterling performances also earned him the Chelsea Player of the Year award for the second consecutive year, the Premier League Player of the Season award, and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

He is widely seen as one of the superstars to watch this season as Chelsea take on the Hammers at the Stamford Bridge later today. For full global TV, online and radio broadcast guide, visit our match page for this EPL Monday night fixture.
