The German ace would reportedly return to the Bernabeu in a heartbeat if the chance emerged.

German tabloid Bild have dropped a huge bombshell which may have Arsenal fans worried over the future of superstar midfielder Mesut Ozil.

As written by Bild, the 27-year-old World Cup winner would leave the north London giants in a heartbeat if a route back to Real Madrid emerged. This would mean a return to home for the Assist King, having enjoyed three memorable seasons with Los Blancos.

It was in La Liga where the Mannschaft ace made a name for himself as one of the world’s finest midfielders, but left the Bernabeu shortly after Gareth Bale’s arrival.

However, despite spending three seasons at the Emirates, the Gunners haven’t come close to winning the English Premier League and Champions League. Instead, Ozil had to settle for two back-to-back FA Cup wins.

Although the report claims Mesut is happy with life in London, the German ace is not content with the silverware cabinet at Arsenal. The upcoming season already appears bleak, with Arsene Wenger proving to be inactive in the transfer market once more.

Whilst the likes of Man City and Man United have already surpassed 100 million pounds in the transfer market, Arsenal have made only one key signing in the form of Granit Xhaka.

Ozil is reportedly unhappy with the lack of spending and thus has been staling over signing a new deal.
