The German ace’s Bundesliga employers were not impressed with his recent antics.

Wolfsburg ace Julian Draxler has been working hard to force an exit, but his recent antics have left a bad taste in the mouth of his employers.

The German youngster publicly admitted to being ready to hand in a transfer request in order to force an exit. The Bundesliga outfits, though, have now responded by slapping the 22-year-old with a fine.

According to BILD (as per So Foot), Draxler was hit with a €100,000 penalty, a sum that is approximately a week’s worth of wages.

The former Schalke ace only joined Die Wölfe last season, and thus has four more years remaining on his contract. Nonetheless, this latest punishment may do little to halt the player’s intentions of moving elsewhere.

The German international has long been linked with a switch to the English Premier League to join Arsenal, with Wenger believed to be an admirer of the 22-year-old. However, the Mirror claim that the Gunners may have to splash £50m for Draxler.

That is a hefty price, especially for the notoriously frugal, given that the north London giants are already blessed with several midfield talents.
