Gonzalo Higuain's deal with Juventus left Napoli with a huge amount of money, but it also left a huge amount of broken hearts.
Aside from fans burning Higuain's shirts with the Partenopei or even flushing them down the toilet, president Aurelio De Laurentiis destroyed the player's reputation, even labelling him as a traitor in an interview with Corriere Dello Sport.
"Some people say that to speak of betrayal is exaggerated, but I think the opposite because there is the full sense of betrayal in this [Higuain] choice because of the ingratitude shown. I expected a different kind of behaviour from Higuaín," De Laurentiis stated.

Napoli's president went on and blamed Higuain's brother/agent for his influence to make the deal happen.
"We understood, as soon as Higuain's brother spoke, that we might run the risk of having to look for a new centre forward. But we didn't think that risk was serious, or that he could simply wipe clean his three years spent with Napoli,"the team exec added.
The Argentine striker is set to be unveiled on Thursday, moments after he signs a five-year deal with La Vecchia Signora. The 28-year-old is expected to earn £6.3M a year with the Italian champions.
