Team news

Juventus

Juventus will be coming into this game having lost to Melbourne Victory in their ICC opener. The Bianconeri, however, are still missing a whole crop of stars due to injuries and the Euro 2016 tournament, which has given some of the team's fringe players an opportunity to prove their worth to coach Massimiliano Allegri. In addition, two of Juve's new signings - Mehdi Benatia and Miralem Pjanic - are with the squad, giving both a chance to get used to their new teammates before the start of the 2016/2017 Serie A season.

Several of the players are expected to resume training next week, whilst the Italian contingent are not anticipated to return until the beginning of August.

With the buzz surrounding Paul Pogba's future at the club, coach Massimiliano Allegri was quick to highlight where his - and the team's - focus is at this point in time:

Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino's men will be finally playing in the Champions League this season thanks to finishing second in the Premier League. However, Spurs fans may still be reeling after they saw the title slip from their hands thanks to none other than cross-town rivals Chelsea. Tottenham's draw against the Blues effectively handed the league crown to surprise packages Leicester City, and thus denied the London-based club the chance to win their first title in 55 years.

Tottenham didn't finish the 2015/2016 campaign on the best note, with back to back losses against Southampton, and most shockingly, a 5-1 defeat to an already relegated Newcastle United. Not surprisingly, Pochettino will be looking to start their pre-season tour off on the right footing. Still, although Spurs are Down Under due to business, it hasn't prevented them from having a bit of fun as well by trying their hand at being baristas:

On a more serious note, Tottenham have made a couple of acquisitions in this summer's transfer market. So far, Southampton's Victor Wanyama has joined for £11 million from Southampton, and Vincent Janssen has arrived from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for about £17 million.
