English club Liverpool have landed another summer signing, as Newcastle's Georginio Wijnaldum will join Jurgen Klopp's lads for the upcoming 2016/2017 season.

According to BBC Sport, the Reds have agreed to a £25m deal for the Dutch midfielder.

The 25-year-old, who joined Newcastle in 2015 for £14.5m from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, had four years remaining on his contract with the Toons.

Wijnaldum was in great form during his 2015/2016 campaign, making 38 appearances and netting 11 goals for his team. However, the Netherlands international was unable to prevent the Geordies' relegation to the Championship.

Following the acquisition of Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius, Schalke centre-back Joel Matip, Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic, Southampton forward Sadio Mane and Augsburg defender Ragnar Klavan, Wijnaldum will be the Reds' sixth summer signing.
