Leicester City star winger Riyad Mahrez has turned down a new contract offer from his current club. The Algerian international is said to be pushing a move out of the King Power Stadium outfit to join La Liga defending champions Barcelona.
This comes barely a day after another Leicester star N’Golo Kante switched to the Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea. Kante was instrumental in the Foxes’ title pursuit last season and the club was hoping to bind him with a long-term contract. He however turned down an improved offer from Claudio Ranieri’s side and decided to join the Blues on a five-year deal, which he described as a ‘dream come true.’
Earlier this week, the internet was flooded with photos of the 25-year-old star wearing an FCB shirt, a club which he has reportedly supported since his childhood.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, the Nou Camp is the most favorable destination for the Algerian. But the Spanish giants will also have to fight off interest from Premier League side Arsenal and Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain, who are yearning to sign the talented winger.
