Gonzalo Higuain and Riyad Mahrez have been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer at Giroud's expense.

Gonzalo Higuain could join Premier League side Arsenal in the next few days if the latest reports from Italy are to be considered. According to Napoli’s ‘official radio station’ Radio Kiss Kiss, the 28-year-old forward will join the Gunners this summer in exchange for Olivier Giroud, who is expected to sign for Napoli. The North Londoners will also add 50 million Euros as part of the exchange deal, the radio understands.

ItaSportPress, which is part of the Gazzetta dello Sport network, also added that the radio station had confirmed that the rumors about Higuain’s move to Juventus were are true, but the Argentine would choose Arsenal instead. Earlier this week, a section of Italian media was abuzz with news linking Higuain with a move to perennial rivals Juventus in Turin for 78 million pounds. The Old Lady would then recover part of the fee by selling their key man Paul Pogba to Manchester United or Real Madrid for 100 million pounds, which would eventually become the world’s most expensive transfer.

Meanwhile, reports from Leicester claim that Riyad Mahrez is not willing to sign a new contract with the Foxes. This comes just a few hours after the King Power Stadium outfit announced the departure of one of their key players N’Golo Kante. Following his unwillingness to commit his future to the club, Arsenal fans have urged their club to make a swift move for the Algerian.
