Since a young age, the footballer had the desire to join the Blaugranas and play at Camp Nou and after an impressive Euro 2016 performance, his wish has been granted, as the 22-year-old has become La Liga giant's latest signing.
Speaking in his first official interview with Barcelona, the France international was emotional when insisting that this has been a long dream of his.
"I'm very happy and excited to be here.
"It's a dream come true, I must thank all the people who've made this move possible.
"When I knew I had the possibility to come to Barça it really touched me, I even cried a little. It's a dream, since childhood I wanted to come here.
"I can't wait to play alongside these great players. I came here to progress and learn a lot with players who have more experience than me.
"My standards are very high, I'm a player and competitor and want to play [every week]. I'll work hard and show that I have the quality to help the club, I know there a good players in my [centre back] position."
The former Olympique Lyonnais player is the club's third summer signing, joining Messi and Co. on a five-year deal worth 25 million euros.
