The French star didn't hesitate when asked which player should take home the coveted trophy, even if there are six months left before the awards ceremony.

Last year, there were practically no doubts about who should take the Ballon D'Or home. This year, things are headed the same way.

Speaking at the ESPY's gala, French midfielder Paul Pogba revealed that, if it were up to him, he would give the trophy to Cristiano Ronaldo, taking under consideration his recent accomplishments.

"After winning the Euro and the UEFA Champions League, I would give this year's Ballon D'Or to Cristiano Ronaldo. He deserves it, they should stop all controversy and give it to him right away," Pogba stated.

Pogba, who has been linked to a number of teams since last summer, decided not to reveal which player is the best between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, since he likes their playing styles altogether.

"I wouldn't choose one over the other. I like them both, but people don't understand they have a different set of skills," Pogba added

The player strikes a pose during ESPN's award ceremony.

The player evaded a couple of questions about his future, but he hinted that he could remain playing for Juventus next season.

"Right now, Juventus is my team, it's my family. If Mourinho calls me, we will see, but right now I'm happy exactly where I am," Pogba concluded.
