July 12, 2016 By Andrew Amoth Wandola
Barcelona have made their second signing ahead of the new season.

Barcelona have today confirmed signing French defender Samuel Umtiti on a five-year deal. Prior to joining the Catalan giants, the 22-year-old was playing for French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon, and was instrumental for Les Bleus at the European Championship in France, having steered them to the finals.

The La Liga champions are said to have spent 25 million Euros to land his signature. He played 170 matches for Lyon since 2011, a run that saw him score five goals in five seasons.
