Jose Mourinho is set to offload four key Red Devils’ players.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to axe four big names in his squad ahead of his debut season with the Red Devils. This is a according to a report published on the Daily Record.

The new boss is reportedly planning offload Bastian Schweinsteiger, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Juan Mata. Mata joined the club during David Moyes’ era, while the rest of the three players were signed by former Man United boss Louis Van Gaal.

Bastian had quite a disappointing injury-prone season with the Old Trafford outfit since joining them from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in 2015. The same case applies to Blind and Rojo, while Mata’s relationship with Mourinho has been cold since their days at Chelsea.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Everton but the fate of Rojo and Blind is yet to be known. Bastian could join Turkish giants Fenerbahce who are said to be interested in his services.

After replacing the four superstars, Mourinho is said to be plotting to buy a world-class player, most preferably Paul Pogba, whose market value at the moment is approximately 100 million pounds. The attacking midfielder has been offered a new deal with his current club Juventus but it is still unclear whether this could stop the Red Devils from pursuing his signature before the beginning of the new season.
