Following A Seleção's 1-0 win over Les Bleus on Sunday, scans by Portugal's medical team have indicated that there is damage to the medial collateral ligament in the Real Madrid striker's left knee.

This injury will affect the start of his season with Los Blancos, as the three-time Balon D'Oro winner might miss the Super Cup clash against Europa League holders Sevilla on August 9. The medical staff stated his recovery process will take around four weeks until Ronaldo is fully fit again.
