The Portugal starlet was accused of lying about his age, but a new video looks to put the controversial claim to rest.

Recently, former Auxerre and Lens manager Guy Roux made controversial remarks, claiming that Portugal starlet Renato Sanches has lied about his true age and that the newly-signed Bayern Munich ace could be five to six years older.

The 77-year-old’s remarks may not be too shocking to some, given that Sanches shows great maturity in his play, but it is a daring comment nonetheless.

However, a new video has emerged of the Benfica youth product from 2010, when the player was 13 according to his birth certificate. If Roux’s recent claims were true, Sanches would have been 18 or even 19.

However, looking at the video, Sanches appears to be nowhere near adulthood. Watch the video.

Renato Sanches helped his nation beat Wales 2-0 on Wednesday to book their spot in the UEFA Euro 2016 final, where they will now face hosts France for the coveted title.
