But not to former side Arsenal…

Dutch striker Robin van Persie was recently linked with a return to the English Premier League, as the once Arsenal and Manchester United striker was rumored to be on his way to a second spell with the Gunners.

The news of a possible Emirates Stadium move for the 32-year-old won’t sit well with the north London giants’ fans given the manner in which Van Persie left back in 2012.

Having grown dejected with life in Turkey, where he currently plays for Fenerbahce, and is now ready to leave, despite an impressive 20-goal season from 45 appearances. Having scored 144 goals in the English top-flight, West Ham and Crystal Palace have also been rumored to be likely destinations for the Dutchman.

However, recent activity by Robin van Persie hints that the Premier League side he could be joining this summer is none of the aforementioned sides, but rather reigning champions Leicester City.

As pointed out by British tabloid The Sun, Van Persie – who only follows 140 people on Twitter – recently started following the Foxes’ star attacking duo of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy, both of whom have committed their future to the champions.

Did Van Persie just follow his future King Power Stadium team-mates?
