Mata to Everton, Lukaku to Arsenal

TRANSFER LATEST: Juan Mata to Everton, Romelu Lukaku to Arsenal

July 2, 2016 By Andrew Amoth Wandola
Here is the latest transfer news from the English Premier League.

Juan Mata could be offloaded by Manchester United to join Premier League side Everton, according to talkSPORT. The Spaniard is said to have agreed personal terms with the Merseyside signing and could become one of their greatest signings in recent times. Mata is known to have a cold relationship with Jose Mourinho, and the arrival of the Portuguese manager at Old Trafford could mark the beginning of ex-Chelsea midfielder’s journey out of the club. Mourinho is said to be keen on strengthening the club’s midfield without the 28-year-old, and the writing is already on the wall thanks to the arrival of Henrikh Mhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.Juan Mata celebrates one of his goals for Man United

The Toffees could have to part with 25 million pounds to land Mata signature as reports from England suggest that the player has already agreed personal terms with the club. Everton are on a mission to rebuild themselves after a disappointing season that saw the finish 11th on the log under former boss Roberto Martinez.  With the arrival of ex-Southampton boss Ronald Koeman at the Goodison Park, the club is expected to splash a considerable amout of money to acquire top transfer targets ahead of the new season.

Everton fans are already excite about the prospects of signing the Man Utd sensation, and we have gathered some of their reactions on Twitter:

Meanwhile, SkySports reports that Premier League side Arsenal could sign Everton forward Romelu Lukaku who is said to be in dire need of European football. The Gunners booked a place in next season’s Champions League action after finishing third in the league, and Lukaku is said to be interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium.Romelu Lukaku - EvertonArsene Wenger failed to sign two of his top transfer targets Jamie Vardy and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and is said to be keen on finding a lethal forward to help the inconsistent Olivier Giroud in the upcoming season.
