The Portugal captain reacted surprisingly when asked how he was feeling before the Hungary clash, but there is a valid explanation.

Fans may be forgiven if they are worried about the mental state of Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo. First, his personality was called into question by former team-mate Rafael van der Vaart, who described the 31-year-old as "rather boring".

Later, the Real Madrid ace was seen throwing a reporter’s microphone into a lake after merely being asked how he was feeling ahead of the all-important final group stage clash with Hungary in UEFA Euro 2016.

"Ronaldo, are you prepared for this game today?" was the question asked, as per the Mirror.

Has the pressure of not yet scoring and missing a crucial penalty finally got to the three-time Ballon d’Or winner? Not exactly. Cristiano’s reaction was down to the station that the reporter represented, which was none other than CMTV.

The former Man United winger has a long-standing feud with the Portuguese station, having refused to answer questions from them in the past, as he believes CMTV continue to disrespect him, his family, and Selecção das Quinas.

Maybe Cristiano hasn’t lost the plot after all.
