At the end of matchday one, both England and Slovakia had some major concerns regarding their respective UEFA Euro 2016 campaigns. The Three Lions were painfully close to ending their long hoodoo on opening day, only to see all three points cruelly snatched away. Meanwhile, the Repre were edged out by Wales in a thrilling end-to-end clash between two debutants.
However, matchday two gave both sides some glimmer of hope of booking their places in the round of 16, and each will be hoping to wrap things up with a win at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard on Monday.
Slovakia
Currently featuring in their debut Euro campaign, Ján Kozák's men had a rough time in their first ever match at this competition as they were overpowered 2-1 by fellow debutants Wales. However, the Repre rebounded in style as they recorded their first ever victory against Russia - although they were given a late scare when the Russians tried to pull themselves back into the game.
With three points, Slovakia are still in contention for the knockout rounds, but will naturally need to get something out of their final match. Fortunately for them, everyone of note is fit and available, and Kozák will be heavily relying on star man Marek Hamsik to come up big again for his side. The Napoli captain was in inspired form against Russia, setting up Vladimir Weiss for the opener before grabbing the second himself with a beautiful stunner from a tight angle.

England
After getting his tactics all wrong against the Russians, Roy Hodgson was under immense pressure to get things right as England faced familiar foe Wales for their second group stage match. Initially, it seemed like the Dragons would effectively end the Three Lions' Euro ambitions as Gareth Bale netted another fantastic free-kick to put his team ahead in the first half.
But this time around, Hodgson opted to make some key substitutions, with Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge coming on in lieu of Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling. And it was truly a tactical masterstroke as the Leicester City and Liverpool attackers turned out to be the game-deciders as the match finished 2-1.

Given this, it will be very interesting to see if Vardy and Sturridge get to feature from the start whilst Kane and Sterling are relegated to the bench as Hodgson will need to pick his strongest starting XI available. England have now revived their Euro campaign and sit on top of Group B with four points, but unlike other quartets, this one will be decided on the final matchday.
England, Slovakia, and Wales are all in an excellent position to top their group. Which one will ultimately finish Group B as the winners? Will it be the two new boys? Or will England head into the round of 16 brimming with confidence?
