The young Ajax striker's effort was enough to earn them their first ever win at a Euro championship and will give the Poles some confidence heading into their match-up against European heavyweights Germany.

However, whilst the morale-boosting win will certainly be encouraging for Poland, the team will be sweating over the fitness of key shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny. The on-loan Arsenal man, who presently plies his trade for Serie A side Roma, was injured during the clash with Northern Ireland and it remains to be seen if he will recover in time for the big game in two days' time.
