Oscar Tabarez’s crew are in need of three points in Philadelphia. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for the Uruguay vs. Venezuela clash.

Uruguay, Copa America’s most successful side, are staring down an early exit from Copa America Centenario, as they prepare for a clash with Venezuela in the second game of the group stage.

Oscar Tabarez’s side fell to an unexpected 3-1 defeat in their opening game – against Mexico – with the game seeing a player from each side sent off. La Vinotinto, on the other hand, won their opening fixture, albeit it was courtesy of a narrow 1-0 win over 10-man Jamaica.

Cavani and Co. need all three points at the Lincoln Financial Field if they wish to avoid elimination. Will they be able to achieve victory?

Team news – who’s fit and who’s not?

Of course, all eyes will be on the status of Luis Suarez, having suffered a right hamstring injury during the 2-0 Copa del Rey final win over Sevilla. Regardless, team-mate Alvaro Gonzalez revealed (as per Philly.com) that the Barca ace has made good progress on the road to recovery.

"We are very happy with the way he is progressing with the injury," Gonzalez said. "He's still trying to control himself and doesn't want his body going too hard, but he is feeling good.

"We will wait and see when we can count on him."

Elsewhere, Uruguay will be without Matius Vecino through suspension after picking up a red card in the defeat to El Tri. Rafael Dudamel, on the other hand, have little worries in the injury and suspension department, as Venezuela could field an identical side from the 1-0 weekend win.

Head to head

La Celeste head into the fixture on the back of a defeat, La Vinotinto on the back of victory, but a run of one win in their last five games means Venezuela boast an inferior form to their Thursday opponents.

Even history back Uruguay, with the 2011 Copa America winners, having lost only four times to Venezuela in history, whilst beating them on 17 occasions and drawing seven. Their last defeat to Venezuela came 10 years ago.
